Gangotri, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is one of the four holy shrines of the Chardham Yatra. Darshan Timings & Temple Schedule
The Gangotri Temple opens on Akshaya Tritiya (April–May) and closes on Diwali (October–November). During winter, heavy snowfall blocks the entire region, so the idol of Goddess Ganga shifts to Mukhba Village for worship.
